After two years attending college in hopes of landing a job in the fashion industry, knitwear designer Gavriella Treminio decided to take a break from her higher education journey and went into the finance industry as a branch operations supervisor at a local bank in her home state of Texas. Eight years ago, during a weekend trip to help her best friend pick out a wedding dress, Treminio stopped by a craft store to pick up a road trip activity — a beginner’s guide to knitting. Little did she know that this last-minute activity would turn into Hello Gavriella, her own full-time business selling naturally hand-dyed yarns, knitting patterns, branding classes and more.
